Manuel Pellegrini has refuted suggestions that Lucas Perez refused to come on against Everton.
Perez seemingly rejected the chance to be introduced as a substitute during the Hammers' 3-1 win at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Television footage had appeared to show the former Arsenal forward being asked by Pellegrini to warm-up, but opting not to.
But Pellegrini claims that there is no issue between him and the player.
"Maybe it looks and you can think he refuses," Pellegrini told Sky Sports following the match
"When Arnautovic was injured, I called him because he was making his warm-up, but when he was back sitting on the bench and Antonio was working I called him because he was ready.
"I don't have any problem with the player."
Perez has made just two substitute appearances for the Irons since moving from Arsenal, via a loan spell at Deportivo, in the summer.
West Ham fans who believed Perez had refused to come on took to Twitter to hit out at Perez, with some suggesting the club should sack him.
